Update: Filing Fee Increases That Were to Go Into Effect October 2, 2020 Have Been Temporarily Enjoined for the Time Being - Take Advantage of Lower Filing Fees Before the Injunction is Lifted!

USCIS published their final rule on the increase of filing fees on July 31, 2020. These new fees will go into effect October 2, 2020. While some fees will decrease slightly, most filing fees have been increased. In addition, fees that would have previously been included in other forms will no longer be included. An example of the most common fees are below. However, the published final rule with all fees can be found here.

Family Based Filing Fees - Old Fees - $1,760.00

I-130, Petition for Alien Relative: $535.00

I-485, Application to Adjust Status: $1,140.00 (included the I-765 fee for a work permit and I-131 advance parole, now separate fees apply)

Biometrics Fee: $85.00

Family Based Filing Fees - New Fees - $2,870.00

I-130, Petition for Alien Relative: $560.00

I-485, Application to Adjust Status: $1,130.00 (decreases by $10, but does not include work permit or advance parole)

I-765, Application for Work Authorization: $560.00(previously included)

I-131, Advance Parole: $590.00 (previously included)

Biometrics Fee: $30.00

I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions (with Biometrics) Increases from $680.00 to $790.00

N-400, Naturalization (with Biometrics) Increase from $725.00 to $1,200.00

N-336, Request for a Decision on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings Increase from $700.00 to $1,735.00
